What's so Good About a Basket of Flowers?

I was a really young Mum when I had our first baby, and in those cold Melbourne days during the pregnancy, the pastime that gave me comfort and peace was to rest while embroidering a cushion cover. I loved the picture I was creating... It was a happy Spring Basket of Flowers.

Now I grow the flowers and I think my favourite arrangement to make is making up pretty Baskets of Flowers with colourful freshly picked blooms. The Baskets don't have to be huge or elaborate to make me feel that same sense of peace and restful comfort I had as a young Mum. Even a simple basket of fresh colourful flowers makes me happy.
